{Trimming the Tree & An Elf's Dinner!}

With Thanksgiving falling so late this year, we decided to trim the tree a little earlier than usual!  My beloved was not in the least disappointed with this decision {and will be begging beyond New Year's Day to keep it up just a little longer while my orderly personality is chomping at the bit to pack it up & vacuum every last morsel of tinsel!}.  I decided to make it extra fun for the kids and incorporate an Elf's Dinner into the mix!  We had hot cocoa with candy canes, sprinkle homemade doughnuts & bacon, of course!  I do believe this may take the cake for their favorite dinner of the year!  After stuffing ourselves full of sugar, we got to work!

The boys managed assembling the 12 foot flocked tree & stringing all 10 strings of lights.  The girls played and watched and danced and twirled to Christmas music the entire time.  Bear even got into the spirit a little more donning his Santa jammies from last year...which I do believe are due for an upgrade size wise!

Such a sweet evening together kicking off the Advent season...with my very favorite people in the entire world!
