Annabelle’s Birthday…celebrated!

Yesterday was a beautiful day.  We decided last minute to do all things Annabelle…which, of course, had to include going to her city, Charleston.  We woke up and headed by her special place to replace her butterfly tree with her birthday flowers and make sure she had her cupcake hairbow!  Then, we hit the road towards our heart’s home.

We had a wonderful lunch, visited MUSC to deliver Annabelle Baskets, made a stop by the beach and visited the nurse who took care of Annabelle on the first two precious days of her life.

We got to share a little time with Emerson’s mom & dad while she was having her cath.  Which went well, Praise God!  They helped us deliver the goodies to 7C and the Annabelle Baskets to PCICU.  Some of our all time favorite nurses were working on 7C- such a blessing to be around those who truly knew her best!  It’s always so special to be surrounded by friends like them..especially yesterday when we needed to be embraced by people who loved her as their own.

On the way to Sullivan’s Island, we picked up some delicious cupcakes from Cupcake (y’all I cannot even describe the yumminess of those things) and balloons for our girl.  We wrote a special message to her and sent them to Heaven from the beach.

On the way home, we visited Andrea (and baby Ada)- Annabelle’s first nurse.  It was a bit surreal to see her holding Luke exactly two years after caring for our babydoll…and such a blessing.   Wyatt was really interacting with Ada who is 10 months old.  It gave Scott and I a sweet glimpse of what fun Luke and he will have so soon!

The day wouldn’t have been complete without speaking with a couple of other heart moms…one whose baby girl is dancing the streets of gold with mine and one whose sweetheart’s heart was made whole here on earth!  I love them both so very much and thank God for the friendship He’s given me with them.

We were welcomed home with many phone messages and precious emails.  To those of you who shared your heart with us on her special day…thank you!  It means more than anything to us to know that Annabelle is still remembered and loved!

It truly was a beautiful day for our beautiful girl!

I thought of you all day yesterday and said a prayer that all would go well. I am so glad that you had such a lovely day and I know for sure that Annabelle is loving her new balloons from her family. I know it's so difficult celebrating these special days without our sweet babies, but I also know that they are in a better place and they are whole and happy and with the Lord and that gives me so much comfort!

Your little Luke is absolutely darling and since my Kanyon has little to no hair at all, I am very much coveting all of his wonderful locks. Well, maybe I was given a little reprieve since all I do is hair everyday and all the girls do is complain the entire time.

Thinking of you! Keisa

Happy Birthday Annabelle! Rebecca, it was so great to see you all in Charleston on Thursday! Thank you for giving me a shoulder to cry on when I needed it :) I am so thankful to have you guys in our life! Wyatt and Luke are so precious and I can't wait to see what wonderful men they turn out to be! Thanks for the purse for Emerson! Although she was giving the nurses a hard time, she wanted to hold it when we got to see her! That's my girl, even in pain she wants to be a diva! love to you all!

It sounds like you had an amazing Annabelle day on her birthday. I am sure she was so thankful that you guys were able to celebrate in such a BIG and WONDERFUL way. She's so proud of you guys.

I love the pic of you and Luke while Luke is looking right at you. He is so happy you are his momma! He is just beaming with pride!!!!

Take care of yourself throughout the next few weeks and remember what we always talk about: our babies got their miracle and they are playing with Jesus right now. Lucky them!

God bless friend!
