Someone like high heels! :)
My love & I snuck away for a few hours to see a concert in Charleston...finally celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary {which was in July!}. We bought tickets in May for this acoustic Needtobreathe show & it was amazing!
Sweet girl got about a 4 inch hair cut...accidentally! I guess that's what happens when your mama attempts to trim your hair and you are a busy body! At least it looks cute!
We did our daily Jesse Tree Advent together each morning to prepare our hearts for CHRISTmas!
Whew! That's a LOT of stockings!!!
A sweet moment between these two after church one afternoon!
She watches TV in a rather odd fashion...and he's completely unphased!
Playing with our Little People Nativity is by far a favorite pastime! AG added Olaf to it this year and made sure he got a front & center view of Baby Jesus!
She learned to fly!!!
Getting Belle's special place all decked out! AG picked out the goodies and I quickly realized that she had an Elsa/Frozen theme going on! A silver & turquoise garland on clearance with a couple pics & a silver bow...and a styrofoam wreath...and our sweet Belle is set!
Cuddling under the tree is our favorite...
Sillies at Publix' Christmas Snow scene...
We had a super fun afternoon decorating gingerbread cookies with our sweet friends! These kids have the most fun together!
We were invited to drive up to the Charlotte area once night for a Live Nativity...of which the kids were the actors/actresses! Two other families met us there & the kids did a beautiful job reenacting The Christmas Story. AG was an angel with a sword, Bubba was Joseph once & a shepherd the other time and Bear was a wise man & the Roman Guard. :)
Little Miss & I had several busy days baking away! She's an excellent taste tester!
After church on Christmas Eve {morning}, we headed to our favorite Chinese restaurant to enjoy lunch & celebrate Ailee James' last Christmas without her family. We can't wait to have her home next year!
And a few photos from my phone on Christmas morning...
My sweet hubby knows the way to my heart...anything that screams Southern & Charleston! A sweetgrass basket all my own!
AG's Wish has been granted! A big trip to China to get baby sister is first though...and then maybe by the end of 2018 she'll meet her favorite princesses!
A huge huge huge part of this adoption process is DONE! All our dossier documents {with the exception of the immigration form that we are working on now...and takes a while because...well, government red tape} are on the way to get authenticated at the US Dept of State & Chinese Embassy! After that they will be sent to China to get their OK to bring home our baby girl!
My top 9 social media pics from 2017! I love that all my babes made it in this!
A long day at FedEx getting immigration & dossier docs sent off! WHEW!!! We also had a cool opportunity to share about the gift adoption has been to our family with the guy that works there and said he and his wife just started talking about it! :)
We celebrated New Year's Eve at home! YAY! A toast at 10pm because mom & dad just about couldn't hang any longer! HA!
My kids had too much fun with the bubbly grape juice!
What a FUN month! Here's to 2018!!!!!
