A few weeks back I came across this great crafty project based on the scripture verse Micah 6:8. It’s also one of the main verses from the recent and awesome movie Courageous. It’s in the song for the movie, too. So…I knew as soon as I saw it that I needed to pin it for us to do…and Valentine’s was the perfect time!
The boys and I got busy working on it as soon as Scott left Tuesday morning (yes, on top of an already busy school day and getting ready for the news to come). We chose to do Luke’s hands and Wyatt’s feet…and Wyatt had the idea to do the heart pink for Annabelle. Here’s our finished project!
It’s on a huge canvas that the boys painted a very subtle green. I plan on framing it soon and Scott has already mentioned a few spots he’d like to hang it. :)
The other special project is not one that I am doing directly myself but rather something to be included in the Annabelle Baskets! A sweet friend, Susan, and her sewing group have been making quilts, cloths and blankets for the baskets for quite a while now. They have been a wonderful addition and I’ve passed along the sweetest email from a heart mom who was having her daughter’s quilt framed in a shadowbox to hang in her nursery. Precious! Well, a week ago Susan found this adorable pattern for ICU babies little shirts. She came by this afternoon to drop off the first few she whipped up last night to get my thoughts on them before they do more. Y’all are these not the cutest little things????
She even added bows to the girls’!!! They velcro on the sides so they are super easy to undo to access chest lines and anything else. Plus, they are so soft! I cannot wait to add them to the Annabelle Baskets in our next delivery!
