The View…

and the view from mine.

Oh yes, there are many days that I wish had a little time away (especially if I was looking out over the Intercoastal Waterway on some days).  But, for the most part I would never dream of trading in these precious and ever fleeting moments and memories with my boys.  Even if that means that my pay check comes in the form of soothing hugs, silly tickles & wet, open-mouthed kisses!

Truth be told, there’s nothing I rather be doing than spending my life investing in these ball lovin’, truck pushin’, loveable little boys!

I came across your blog because as a new stay at home mom, I was looking into the Mom's Time Out program at Riverland Hills. I had requested more information and one of the things they said they do is Annabelle's Baskets. I was curious as to what that was and so I googled it. I was immediately drawn to your story of beautiful little Annabelle. My sister's son, Tyler, also had Dr. Bradley perform heart surgery on him. He was born in September of 2003 with TAPRV (Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return) and holes in his heart. Dr. Bradley did an amazing job with his heart, but sadly Tyler passed away January 15, 2008 at MUSC from a seizure. He started having seizures when he was two, and they had been controlled for a year until the one that took his life happened a few days before Jan. 15th. Everyone at Greenville Memorial and then at MUSC did everything they could to save him. I'm so glad your little Annabelle was shown the same care that my nephew was. MUSC and Dr. Bradley are amazing! They gave both these children time to impact our lives in different ways. What you are doing with Annabelle's baskets is such a wonderful tribute to her and I'm sure there are tons of families whose lives you are touching. My sister was one of those who wasn't prepared (if you can really ever be prepared for such a thing) to have a child with a CHD. You are adding a little bit of sunshine while these parents are in such a dark spot!
