After a full June of All-Stars in his last season of Coach’s Pitch (in which Wyatt’s team was the State Runner-up!), we are now full swing back into travel ball. The team he plays with is moving up and playing some 9U tournaments which means one thing to our family…let the pitching begin! Bye-bye to machines and coaches. The boys are doing the throwing now!
Seeing as how both my daddy and my husband pitched in college, it’s always been something that Wyatt’s been interested in. Well, today he finally got his first try on the mound. And it was incredible! I cried after his first strikeout and then again after his third. By the next inning, the scripture on his eye black had calmed my nerves. He’s a natural, friends.

I'm a long time reader of your blog, but never one to comment much. Just wanted to let you know that this made ME tear up! I love, love, love seeing pictures of your baseball loving boys! I grew up in a baseball loving family, married a college baseball player who is now a highschool varsity baseball coach, and we just can't wait to get our 3 year old out there!! Seeing pictures of your boys out there together gives me a little glimpse of what's to come for us!

Congratulations on making it through his first game as pitcher. I was a nervous wreck the first time Ryan pitched! Luckily, it gets easier. :-)
