Happy Fall!

I don’t know about your neck of the woods but, around here, the weather has been incredible!  We were still recording 95 and up degrees a couple of weeks ago!  Summer begins in April & lasts half of the year in the South but this southern girl was tired of being so hot all the time!  Thankfully, we are finally getting a taste of fall with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and cool crisp morning lows of 50!  Which have been perfect for my morning runs with the boys…yes, I’ve gone off the deep end & am training for my first race next month!  My big goal is the 10K Bridge Run in Charleston…just a week after Annabelle’s Homegoing Anniversary…and I’ll be running for her in her city.   I needed something to truly keep me motivated & she’s by far the best thing I could think of!

While we were still hanging out near 100 degrees a few weeks ago, I pulled out my fall decorations to at least feel somewhat fall-ish!  Like my pumpkin topiaries that I made a few years back…I have one on each side of our side entrance door.

I replaced my summer arrangement & palm tree plate with sunflowers, cattails, leaves & a turkey!

And put mini pumpkins just about everywhere I could!

And this little turkey is finally getting to wear all his fall clothes!

You know, I’ve never been much on autumn but it’s really growing on me!  Hope y’all are having a happy fall, too!

Your home looks beautiful, Rebecca! And I LOVE your pumpkin topiaries :) I, too, stack pumpkins by my front door (I'm no longer surprised when I find that we do/have the same things!) Oh, and Luke.... well, he is just simply precious! I love his grin... it is infectious! And that last picture... it looks professional! Did you blur the background using a manual setting? You are getting good! I still haven't taken mine out of the box... need to get going on it! Happy Fall to you!

Yes! So glad to read about your running adventures. Those heart angels sure do provide a solid motivation, don't they?! The bridge run is such a fun time - I plan to run it again as well. Looking forward to more updates about your running!
