Happy Halloweeen!

I don't know about your household, but mine is taking it easy today!

I have learned not to push myself into anything. I am a compulsive planner and have had a hard time learning to let that go. I can't push myself or it ends in disaster.

We made little plans for yesterday...Scott's Granny called on Thursday and asked us to stop by last night and our church was having a huge fall festival. That was about all I could handle...knowing that Scott is sensitive and aware enough to call it quits anytime I am getting overwhelmed. Some of our favorite friends (who's youngest little dollbaby, Evie, was two beds down from Annabelle in PCICU) joined us. Wyatt has made such precious friends with Evie's older siblings. It was a joy to have them spend the evening with us...playing carnival games, jumping in the jump castles and throwing speed pitches! Since it ended before the sugar rush had worn off and Wyatt had made plans at church with his good friend, Scarlett, we went by their home and let the two of them run wild until we knew we'd have him asleep before we got home. I survived...and wore a halo to keep my daughter close the entire time.

Thought I'd share some photos of our day...

WOW pirates were popular this year. Brady, Scott, Tyler and a few others were pirates too. We saw y'all from a distance at church Friday night. Wyatt was so cute! ~Kim

Looks like a fun time!!! I am glad you all enjoyed yourself. I have been following along on Evie's blog - what a beautiful little girl! I had wondered if you all were near each other in town.
And I couldn't have wrote that first line on your post better myself - I am such the compulsive planner too and just go to pieces when it doesn't go right...
Hope to get together again soon!!!
Love to you, Amanda

Rebecca,

What sweet pictures! It sounds like you had a wonderful night. I understand the overwhelmed feeling...I took the kids to a few houses and then Tommy took over. How wonderful that you wore a halo to keep Annabelle close--although I know she is always with you and in your heart. I wonder if she and Luke got to dress up, too? Hoping to talk to you soon!

I loved Wyatt's pirate costume! It was so authentic! You were beautiful in your halo. I'm glad Wyatt had a fun Halloween! Looks like he could have his daddy/grandaddy's pitching talent, huh?!

I went to high school with Scott.. I just saw your blog and I am in tears. You guys are amazing. Our first daughter Kennedy (now 4) was born with a duodenal stenosis- narrowing of her small intestine. So I am aware of the sadness in the NICU too well.. Please know that you guys are in my thoughts and prayers.
