{Mercy Meadow: Standing Seam Dreams}

"What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the rooftops."
Matthew 10:27

We chose to put a little touch of standing seam metal roofing over our front porch and the little window roof accents over the school room and Bubba's bedroom.  I chose good old fashioned galvanized (silver) metal...because I love the look of it and because I have a precious friend who has a billion masters degrees in all types of architectural history stuff and she told me to.  ;)  She also convinced me to add some shake siding accents which I'm really excited about, too.  So thankful for friends that can help with these crazy decisions!

Our goal is a farmhouse that looks like it's been on this beautiful old land forever...except that it hasn't been. :)

  The shingles are weathered wood with browns, grays and a little charcoal in there.  I love that the roof changes a bit in different lighting.  When the sun is setting on the back of the house, the browns are beautiful!

We are wrapping up electrical rough in and the rest of the windows in the next week or so...but plumbing and HVAC rough in is done!  So ready to make this blessed place home!
