Fall Photos

I have always stayed on the taking end of the photos to avoid having to see myself in print (huge wake up call for me last year!).  But, after dropping nearly 50 pounds and learning to love myself more, I decided I needed to start being in the photos, too.  My mom was so good at our family having nice portraits done each year and she was in them…whether she was in the middle of chemo or struggling with her weight.  I love those pictures and they’ve definitely taught me that I need to do the same for our family.

Another dear heart mom friend of mine, Shannon, and I had the awesome idea to swap services so we could finally get some family pics with ourselves in them.  Shannon also has a photography love so we just met with our families and started clicking!  It was so fun and we both agreed that we will be doing it again in the spring!

Here’s a few of my many favorites!  Thank you, sweet friend, for these very special moments!

These are GREAT! And you look AWESOME! 50 pounds. That is super impressive Rebecca! My favorite is the 1st one followed by the last one :)

Did you read that article (it went viral) that someone wrote about the mom being IN the pictures? It made me cry because it was so true. Mom's never want to be IN the pics because we are so hard on ourselves, but are kids just see us as US... their mom. The person who loves them and takes care of them. They don't see crows feet or hair roots or thighs that need slimming. They just see their mom. I need to remember that (especially since I literally just ate an ENTIRE large bag of M&Ms!).

Let's catch up soon... I miss you!

those pictures are awesome...i think about you every morning (i'm not that stalkie) when i don't motivate myself to start the couch to 5k and how awesome you are feeling (because you've always looked gorgeous) I had lost about 25 - 30 pounds and am slowly putting it all back on - i am working from home now so there's no exercise in my day...lots of couch time and now i've got the blahs!

I had a picture taken yesterday - omround!

what have you been eating?

Thanks Dana! I eat a mostly clean, real foods diet. But, I have to admit that I have been sneaking a lot of chocolate and snacks lately...but I'm also running nearly 20 miles a week so I am burning it like crazy. My appetite is huge with being at the peak of my training for the next half marathon in less than 3 weeks. I try to eat lots of veggies, whole grains (whole wheat), fruit, and lots of protein! Eggs and chicken like crazy. :) I also have a healthy dose of dark chocolate to keep me sane! Good Luck to you!!! You can do it! Anything is better than nothing!
