{Mountains with My Man}

Scott and I stole away for a couple days to the mountains of NC where we ate like royalty and hiked like hobos.  We got lost in the middle of nowhere and had no cell service to help us find our way back.  We rented the cutest little 100 year old cabin that was located on what was surely the hot spot of the 1920s with their outdoor bowling lane and shuffleboard games.  Downtown Hendersonville for dinner at Shine then brunch the next morning at Honey and Salt and then Mayberry's in Brevard for a late lunch before heading home.  It was glorious!  A short trip to refresh and reconnect!

The beautiful bridge at the top of the falls.

Triple Falls was our second adventure in our trek through DuPont State Forest

Our first stop was at High Falls and boy was it worth it!  We climbed all the way down and took it all in.  So pretty!

The morning was a little rainy so we waited it out before heading out to hike in Flat Rock doing some brunching and shopping.

This restaurant was highly recommended by friends and it was probably the best breakfast either of us has had in a very long time.  The gluten free biscuits were so yummy that we brought some home for the kids, too.

Our little Sunshine Cabin!

The architecture was so unique and beautiful.  It was the tiniest little space and absolute perfect for the two of us.

The original fireplace. Gorgeous!

After we checked in Friday afternoon, we headed to Jump Off Point to watch the sunset before grabbing dinner.

As I was looking through last years album, I realized that we got away just the two of us more in that year than we did in nearly the last 19.  Our marriage has to be priority and I'm so grateful that he does things like this to show me that it is to him, too.  We laugh so much and just have the best time!  SO thankful for moments like these and the man I get to share them with forever!
