Giving Thanks

Give Thanks to the Lord for He is Good! His love endures forever!

I am sure you have all noticed Annabelle's beautiful first photo that we put on the blog for everyone to enjoy! She is so beautiful! My first reaction to seeing her is that she looks just like her big brother. Wyatt is a beautiful child but as a baby I always had people telling me how pretty he was. There was a man in Lowe's that mentioned how pretty "she" was in spite of his blue baseball outfit and blue pacifier! Wyatt was thrilled to see her pictures. He is so protective of her and just has to hum to her every morning as soon as he wakes up. I am sure she already knows all the notes to "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" by now.

We are so thankful...especially after Friday's appointment. I had an ultrasound done to try to gauge her growth. She is measuring at least a week to two weeks ahead of schedule. She is in the 60th percentile (meaning she's big for her age)! My doctor seemed to think we were right on schedule to have another 9 pound baby. Praise God!!! My biggest concern has been getting her big and strong for surgery. We were told initially that she would probably be small due to her having a two vessel cord as opposed to the normal three vessel cord. I have prayed and prayed for her growth. God answered those prayers on Friday morning. Annabelle is a fighter already and she is determined to win!

More thanks to Him for last Saturday's Saving Little Hearts meeting! We met some amazing families. We were able to meet two little girls with HLHS. One girl is 6 1/2 and has had all three surgeries. The other little girl is 4 and has had 2 surgeries. She is set to have her third surgery in June. These children are absolutely amazing little miracles! Wyatt had a blast playing with them. It meant so much to Scott and me to see these very special children doing normal things...running, swinging, playing, and eating chocolate! I met amazing mothers that offered me some great advice, too! It was the first time in months that I have been able to sit down and comfortably talk about my pregnancy and someone totally understand my concerns, fears, hopes, frustrations, and much more. Just to have these fellow heart moms listen, understand and assure me that I will get through it was priceless time spent. We are very thankful for these people and children that God has brought into our lives. We are even more thankful that there is a place for all of us to come together and support each other in our journeys.

Thanks to each of you for your prayers! It means so much to us to read your comments and know you are keeping up with us. We are looking forward to giving thanks for all of this and so much more in a few days with our families. For all God has already taught us through Annabelle's life, we give thanks daily, hourly for the many blessings we have in having been given a daughter who is already a testimony to His power and Divine Plan. Only God could have created such an amazing child! Happy Thanksgiving!

Praise God for all His many blessings! We learn so much from our heart babies. We will continue in prayer for little Annabelle, lifting her and your family up to The Great Physician!

Heart hugs to you!

Aren't the 3D pictures so fun! I'm glad you were able to get a good look at miss Annabelle. We continue to pray for her and you 3 as the weeks draw near for her birth and first surgery. Praying for peace and comfort - whether God chooses to heal her heart in utero or He chooses to use doctors and medicine to help her. Also glad to hear you met a bunch of other heart families on Saturday! Definitely lots to be thankful about this year!
