Crafty Christmas

I am so loving these days off!  Both of the boys are chompin’ at the bit to do stuff and I am one craft lovin’ mama!  We’ve still got ornaments to decorate, a candy cane stake to paint (naptime craft), gingerbread houses to build and more!  But, these last two days I’ve tried my hand at something I saw on Pinterest and had to give a whirl.

Deco mesh, anyone??? :)  I’m hooked!

So, I found some on clearance at Michael’s and decided to do a wreath for over the mantel…

Which turned into a wreath AND garland for over the mantel…

FYI…this entire project cost me less than $20!  I had most of the ribbon and garland.  My costs came in with the mesh itself and the berries.  Plus, 70% off gets you a long way!  That, by the way, got all thrown together at about 10pm last night.  That’s what I get for running too late in the day and having energy into midnight.

Which leads me to today… (our side door)

Um, yes…IN LOVE!!!  I still have hopes of hot gluing some big ornaments to the garland but that may just have to wait until next year.  Tomorrow, I’ll work on the front door during naptime! :)

Oh…and just to throw in a little practicality…I decided not to use bows this year on our presents since a certain little two year old likes to rip them all off.  So, I went with white craft paper and red gingham packaging tape.  I let Luke go wild with the crayons to add his touch!   Who said everything had to look fancy, anyhow? ;)
