His bib & party hat are ready to be worn (courtesy of one of his big Sissy’s nurse’s mom, Jan, who bought the same little girl set for his “Belle”)…

and a precious gift I was given inspired it all!

My dear friend, Sarah, had openly shared her prayer with me for us to have another baby.  She said that the Lord had told her the night before that He had a baby for us…so she called me the next day to tell me her experience.  Little did she know when she called, that we were already pregnant!  I had just gotten a positive pregnancy test a couple of days beforehand.  We had not seen his heart beat or even been to the doctor yet, but we knew that God had already given us another precious child to love.  She saw me eyeing this adorable cupcake jon-jon on her own baby boy a few months later and graciously passed it on to Luke to wear as we celebrate the amazing first year that we have been given with him!

Oh, oh, oh! This looks so wonderful! I LOVE the "sweet" party theme... I did the same one for Emily in December for her 2nd birthday (don't great minds think alike?!).

Did you know that it's really easy to make oversized lollipops out of styrofoam circles, dowel rods, and colored cellophane (or tissue) paper? I'm sure you've got all your decorations completed, but thought I'd share that easy idea too! I put them in jars of candy on the tables for centerpieces!

Can't wait to see more pics of Luke's special celebration!

Sweet party for a sweet boy-love the decor! Hope it is a great day for you all! Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday that you found out that you were pregnant.

I didn't remember Luke was also an August baby...our grandbaby, Avery will be THREE on Aug. 19th! We are having his party at Lake Michigan on our vacation this coming Sunday...and guess who is also coming? :) Princess Lindsay is bringing her big brothers, mom and dad and Linda and Bill! We are going to play on the beach, watch our little loves play together, eat and drink... and share a "Thomas the Tank Engine" cake, made by my Cara. Oh, I wish you could all come!

Luke just gets more adorable each day and I hope you have an absolutely perfect birthday party...can't wait for pictures!

Love you, Elaine
