Christmas Picture Photo Shoot

I get it now...what it's like to have to take a hundred pictures to try to get one decent one of your two children (God bless you if you have more) smiling at the same time in the same direction! Good thing we don't buy film anymore and can delete all we want until we get it the way we want it!

I put up our Christmas decorations Monday & Tuesday to get a jump on it. So, my first job was the mantel. I thought it would be a great idea to get a picture of the boys in front of Annabelle's stocking for our Christmas card picture this year. (No, honestly, I don't think it's a great idea but it's the best that I have. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do, where to take the picture or anything else...please help me out on this one! I am having a really hard time including all three babies in it.) As it turns out, Luke didn't want to be held and Wyatt didn't want to be smiling. Luke is also not so fond of hats and, of course, I had a cute little elf stocking that I wanted him to wear that he protested like crazy when it mattered. Wyatt, on the other hand, loved the elf hat and ended up stretching it out to try to get it to fit on his head. So, we did the best that we could and, in the end, I decided we'll have to try again another day.

Do your Christmas picture photo shoots always go like mine??? Please tell me this is normal!!!

I am seriously laughing at your post...because I can remember a Christmas where my husband just lost it almost trying to get the one perfect picture. It is comical every year..someone is crying, or not looking or blinking or just don't want there pic taken at all. So I never have a perfect pic. Your pic you posted is very cute and precious!! A suggestion is if you have a special ornament for Miss Annabelle, take the boys in front of the tree and a close up so you can see the ornament would be a good idea too. I love the one you got though!! Thanks for sharing!! :) Happy Holidays....

Oh friend
You look like you've captured it...they both look like little Cherubs and we KNOW Annabelle IS one!

IN addition to 5 kids that are less than interested in having their photo taken, Chad isnt too keen on it either. So we've settled on our Christmas card picture. I dont love it, but no one is looking in a different direction, so we'll call it done!

Miss you - lets catch up this weekend!

I think it is great! I can't even get my one to take a good picture! :) Luke is getting so big and reminds me so much of your daddy!

I hope all is well!

LOL!! I love it! It's too precious. I have 3 kids and it is always hysterical trying to get a good Christmas card photo. Lots of friends that have more than one kid are trying the cards like the "brady bunch" look...each has their own box and that way you get good pics for all, but I love it when everyone is in ONE photo.
I love the name on the ornament photo idea in the comments...you could put Annabelle's Christmas bow on her ornament too and have the boys in front of the tree with her ornament shining bright with her bow!

I think they are absolutely the two most handsome little boys I have ever seen. Love the pic! You did great!

What a beautiful picture! yes, it is normal to have to go through a gazillion photos to capture the perfect one. Especially at this age (for both). When we did our family picture with my parents, you would have thought we asked Ty to give up all his soccer gear. he finally drummed up a smile and we finally got a good picture.

I can't believe how much Luke has grown. I haven't checked in on you in a month or so. Your boys are precious and Annabelle's stocking looks great by them. Hugs to you my friend!!

It looks to me like you already got a winning shot... it's precious! And I noticed Annabell's right away! It's perfect! I'm a little jealous actually... I STILL can't figure out how to get Emily to look at the camera :)

Mine ALWAYS go that way, and I only have one child (granted, she's a spunky one!). I even just bought a fancy new camera to try and not miss anything, and I still have picture drama! What are we gonna do? :o)

Oh girl you are not alone! My photo shoot was interesting, too! It was so hard getting all 3 of them smiling and looking at the camera...you will see when you our Christmas card! :) The picture of Luke and Wyatt is cute and your idea is cute, too!!
