Conversations & Hearts

So...I am an addict. I swore to Scott last night that I'm convinced Heaven smells like a bag of Conversation Hearts (you know, the Brach's kind that is already gracing the grocery store aisles in anticipation of Valentine's Day). Wyatt and I picked up a bag yesterday. Yes, dear ones, some folks get the small boxes but that's a ridiculously teeny amount for us...so we have the big bag! For dessert after lunch today (don't you have dessert with lunch, too?), we broke out the hearts.

Here's a bit of the conversation that took place with my freckled-faced little country boy...

Wyatt: "Mommy, what's this one say?"

Me: "It says 'Dare Ya'. See, buddy, it starts with a D" (teachable moments even with sugar pills, y'all!)

Wyatt: "Dare Ya? That's funny!"

Me: "It is kinda funny, isn't it?"

Wyatt: "I know, like Dare Ya Go!"

For those of you reading this in weather colder than 40 degreees, substitute a "th" for the "d" in dare & it may make a bit more sense. Yes, friends, we speak our own language in the south!

Praising God for precious moments with my eldest that make me laugh from the soul!

That is so sweet. It reminds of a conversation with Colin. He asked me about the state Suzyanna where New Orleens is...He meant Louisiana where New Orleans is.

I love to read when you say ya'll. I lived in Texas from the 3rd grade until just before the 9th grade and I had such a southern drawl when I moved to WA. Everyone laughed, but I love to hear. Thanks for bringing the south back to me. Enjoy your Hearts!

How stinkin cute is that?!! I love those moments too as you do. I miss my boys and eager to see them this weekend. I just want you to know that ya'll (he he) have been on my mind this last week quite a bit thinking about what the end of the month marks for you. It is also the day that we found out about Lindsay's special heart. So, it too will be a monumentous day. See, they have been bonded from the very beginning! Love to you my friend and I need to hear your voice again soon!
Love, Suzie

Love your blog entries.....wish you could write more, but know you must be busy with Annabelle's ministry.
Your family is thought of often and especially this month. Remember an angel can illuminate the darkest path.... your Annabelle is an angel.

I LOVE that you have dessert after lunch. We never miss a chance to have something sweet. I have to admit though that my downfall are M&Ms. I could eat an entire LARGE bag of them in one day. I am especially fond of the dark ones.

I too cherish those sweet special moments with my girls. I think the Lord blesses us in particular with those Rebecca because they help us to get through. At least they do for me.

I think of you often and thank you once again for your words of courage and strength. You are an example to me.
