Miracle Day!

"And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast" 1 Peter 5:10

Today was a Miracle Day! Annabelle came through the Norwood procedure and is doing well in the PCICU. The surgery that was supposed to take about 6-7 hours ended up lasting over 9 hours. God works miracles through Dr. Bradley's hands and He did so today. Annabelle did very well throughout surgery but when Dr. Bradley took her off the heart lung bypass machine to check everything before completing surgery, he was not completely satisfied with a small "kink" the lower portion of her aorta. So, he went back and re-did a portion of the surgery to his satisfaction. Thank the Lord that Dr. Bradley is a perfectionist!
Scott and I arrived at the hospital around 5:30 to spend time with our daughter. We both got to hold her and love on her before they took her to surgery at 6:30. We were allowed back into PCICU at 4:45 to see her after surgery. She is on paralytic drugs causing her to be in a so called drug induced coma. She is on a ventilator and her chest remains open with a sterile strip over it until Dr. Bradley decides it is okay to close her chest in the next days. The next 24-48 hours are critical. We praise God for what He has already done today and know that our sweet angel is in His arms! Please pray fervently for Annabelle and her medical staff as she faces the next hurdle of these few days.
God has granted us an indescribable peace as we know He is in control and His plan is Divine. We have been so touched by everyone's comments, cards, gifts, and, mostly, prayers. The outpouring of Godly love amazes us.

So glad to hear the good report! It sounds like you've got a great surgeon and medical team there at MUSC! Praying for the next 24-48 hours to go smooth as well. Glad to hear that God has given you peace through Annabelle's surgery and journey thus far since birth. Praying you'll continue to know and rely on the peace of God that surpasses all understanding!

Praise the Lord! I'm so glad that the surgery went well and that Dr. Bradley took such good care of her. We will continue to pray for her during these next few critical hours. I love the sweet pictures of Wyatt kissing his sweet baby sister. She is such a beautiful baby and I still love the hair bows! :) Your adorable pictures bring tears to my eyes. God bless you and we are continuing to pray....

We are so thankful to hear this good news. Today we prayed the doctors would take great care in even the smallest details. It really sounds like they did. :) We will continue to pray over the next 2 days that everything will continue to go well. Annabelle doesn't know yet, but she is really lucky to have you two as her parents.

Prayers continue for this 24-48 hour time ( I remember it very well). We will continue to pray for Annabelle during this time of recovery, pray for the medical team working with her, pray for continued strength for Mommy, Daddy and family. We thank God everyday for Dr. Bradley and his staff, for saving our wonderful heart babies, especially our Raleigh!

I will be down at MUSC on Sunday and have some gifts for Annabelle and Wyatt. I will come by the PCICU waiting room and hope to find some of your family. I will be wearing a Saving Little Hearts T-shirt.

Please give Annabelle kisses from us, hugs to Wyatt and hugs to Daddy and Mommy. We hold your family in our prayers!

Our entire family has been praying for your family, especially Annabelle and her surgery today. At 1:30PM today, Annabelle was still so strong on my heart and mind, I had to stop and pray yet again for her and the entire surgical team. Our God is a God of miracles and know that Annabelle is resting in His hands as He heals her little heart. We will continue to lift you all up in prayer, asking for peace, strength, and healing. We also LOVED the pictures, especially Wyatt kissing Annabelle and the one of Annabelle smiling! How precious! Stay strong and keep the faith! We are so glad that Annabelle was victorious in her first encounter with the giant!
We love you! Love, Mrs. Kathy, Mr. Bobby and Brittany

Praise the Lord! I am always in awe of Dr. Bradley and his work. God directs his hands for sure. Glad to hear that Annabelle is on her way to recovery. That was a very big hurdle for her. Our prayers are still with her for this weekend. Hang in there mom and dad!

We are so happy that things went well. I prayed contantly ar work all day yesterday and even into the night. I let as many know yesterday that she was in surgery and started numerous pray chains. Praise God that all went well. This giant knows exactly who is in control - Jesus Christ. We will continue to pray for her and your family during the next difficult hours, days, and months.
